In these wonderful modern times in many/most instances there is no longer any online human tech support available or, if it is available, you have to wait in line like 11 hours to get it.
That's even when you PAID for a product or service. Today, and even predating the 2 years of the Covid pandemic, thanks to younger workers who don't want, or are untrained, to physically and personally speak to another human being and have persuaded companies to go the support route of text, email or online bot chat or "help communities" when offering technical support option. Rarely can a paying customer phone a tech company and get a live human being to quickly and efficiently help.
Today I spent an hour trying to get help at Adobe.com. I own Photoshop Elements 2018 and simply wanted to add it to an additional brand new computer. It said to delete the license on the old device and add the new device, download the product and, viola, it's done. Wrong! When I logged in to Adobe, my account said I did not have any existing products. But I do, I paid Adobe more than $50 for my Photoshop Elements in 2018 and it is still on my laptop - and WAS on my desktop until that computer died yesterday. And I have used that software product nearly every day for the last 2 years to edit over 1,000 fine art photos I have taken. WTF?
I could not get my urgent need addressed at adobe. They do not list me as a paying customer. My product is not even listed anymore. There is no one there to take my call. The robo chat was of no help, no help at all.
Here I sit, f-ing helpless, impotent, frustrated beyond belief. And without the ability to edit professional fashion photos on my new computer. Why? Because there IS no real and fast live human customer support anymore. Even if you are a f-ing paying customer!
