FUCK 2-STEP VERIFICATION!
I hate hate hate 2-step verification. I just tried to log in to my FoxNews.com account to make a comment on a news story and couldn't. Why? Because they couldn't send me an email with their f-ing 2-factor verification code in it. A similar thing happened with my Amazon account.
And later that day I wanted to message my primary care physician re important new test results that I got. I could not access my Optum patient portal to send a message, it would not send the 2-step verification code via text. I tried 3 times. I then elected to have them call me with the code. The f-ing bot called and said, if you initiated this call click the # sign. On my f-ing iPhone I could not access the # sign while on the call. The bot humg up on me. I tried this twice, same result, I could not access my fucking doctor! MY DOCTOR!
And, today, due to the fucking 2-step verification not sending me the code by text
I COULD NOT ACCESS MY F-NG PHARMACY TO RENEW A PRESCRIPTION!
WHY THE F DO ONLINE ORGANIZATIONS USE 2-STEP VERIFICATION IF IT OFTEN MALFUNCTIONS OR CREATES MORE WORK FOR THE USER?
Oh, it adds security. I don't give a fuck! It ain't worth it! I'd rather be at higher risk and not be FORCED to use the pain-in-the-ass 2-factor verification!
Or at least give us the option to not have to use it on our account log-ins.
FUCK 2-STEP VERIFICATION.
